The University of Tennessee College of Business -- High-Profile News-Makers Program |
| Ojective: National coverage for UT's College of Business |
| Results: Ongoing coverage in leading publications from the Wall Street Journal to BusinessWeek to The New York Times |
HWH's dedicated "News-Makers" program proved to be the perfect match for the University of Tennessee's roster of professors, who are experts in a broad range of topics from corporate governance and fraudulent financial reporting to anger management and aggression in the workplace. As a first step in the program, HWH packaged and presented
a full menu of UT experts to all major print and broadcast outlets who would be available for interviews whenever an appropriate story or breaking new arose.
HWH also implemented an aggressive program taking advantage of breaking news in order to garner national headlines for UT and its expert professors. HWH has been able to jump on News of The Day topics such as the Enron scandal and instances of workplace violence to offer UT experts who could shed light on these breaking stories as they unfolded.
To date, the successful program has resulted in major stories across the country, including: CBS' The Early Show, FOX News Channel, CNBC, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Reuters, Dow Jones Newswire, BusinessWeek, The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, The Christian Science Monitor, St. Louis Post Dispatch, Bloomberg News,
BARRON'S and others.
