Michael J. Freeman Ph.D. is one of America’s premier inventors and entrepreneurs with product sales in excess of 1.5 billion dollars to date. He was the founder of a billion dollar publicly traded Nasdaq corporation, Professor, author, and talk show host.

His areas of expertise in product and technology development are computers, interactive/web based television, voice mail, touch-tone phone branching, software deve-lopment, and toys. Founded a successful publicly traded company in the area of interactive/Web based TV. In addition, Dr. Freeman has published one book, numerous journal articles, was a Professor at City University of New York, Cornell University, and Hofstra University. He has appeared on over 100 major U.S. talk shows (radio and TV) to discuss and promote his inventions. His inventions and products have been written about in over 200 major magazines throughout the world. He has had his own talk show. He holds 25 US and foreign Patents, all of which have been licensed and commercialized.

FOUNDER: ACTV INC.

Founded this interactive television/web based company in 1983 and took the company public in 1990. CEO and Chairman 1983 to 1995. Invented the core ACTV technology and holds many of the Company’s licensed patents. ACTV creates interactive television programming and technology for Cable TV, Internet, and satellite TV. It also allows businesses to synchronizes TV shows and video with Internet web pages. ACTV is also a leader in Internet based distance learning for schools within the United States. The Company currently has major agreements with TCI, Turner, Liberty Sports, Fox, General Instruments, the Washington Post and others. ACTV is publicly traded on Nasdaq.

PROFESSOR AND AUTHOR

CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK: Professorial staff from 1970 to 1980. Taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses on entrepreneurialship and business. Had one of the highest overall student ratings for Professors.

CORNELL UNIVERSITY: Worked on the adjunct professorial staff from 1972 to 1978. Developed business course curricula and taught undergraduate and graduate courses.

HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY: Developed Computer Methodology course curricula and taught undergraduate courses.

Published: Published one book and numerous articles: BOOK ENTITLED: WRITING RESUMES, LOCATING JOBS, AND HANDLING JOB INTERVIEWS. Sold successfully for 10 years (1976 to 1986). Authored and Co-authored numerous articles on various subject including leadership, behavioral science, computers, and children’s education.

INVENTOR OF SUCCESSFUL INTERACTIVE PRODUCTS

Kasey The kinderbot. Just being introduced this month by Fisher-Price (a division of Mattel Toys), Kasey is considered to be one of the most advanced interactive teaching toys ever developed.

2-XL TOY ROBOT. Considered one of the most successful toys by the industry magazine: Playthings. Dr. Freeman personally did the voice and wrote over one hundred software audio programs for children that were translated into 6 foreign languages and sold in 10 countries over a 21-year period. Originally 2-XL sold from 1977 to 1982.
Dr. Freeman brought 2-XL back from 1992 to 1998. 2-XL won many honors including Toy of the Year. Spun-off a nationally syndicated TV Show (1991 to 1995) called PICK YOUR BRAIN starring 2-XL).

ELECTRONIC TALK’N PLAY. Highly successful interactive music and learning toy that sold from 1983 to 1992. Was programmed under Dr. Freeman’s direction by Disney, Sesame Street, Jim Henson’s Muppets, Nickelodeon, Marvel comics and more.

ACTIVITY FUN ALPHIE. Educational learning aid for children that provided audio and voice feedback for correct responses.

VERBAL COMPUTERS AND TOUCH-TONE PHONE BRANCHING. Developed, Patented, and licensed substantial core technology in the interactive touch-tone phone branching industry (i.e. voice mail, automated operators, and computer responsiveness to touch tone frequencies). Developed one of the first successful verbal output computers that was covered by news services in 10 countries and written about in over 75 newspaper and magazine articles.

PATENTS: Holds over 25 U.S. and foreign Patents, all of which are commercialized and/or licensed.

RADIO HOST

Hosted own radio program in New York during 1996. Opening introduction by Larry King. Interviewing celebrities (Kathy Ireland, George Plimpton etc.) and answered call-in questions regarding personal success, achievement, and business development.
