HWH Internship Program
For over 25 years, HWH has been nurturing the PR stars of tomorrow via its hands-on, year-round Internship program. HWH interns have graduated and gone on to great careers in PR; some have even ended up working at HWH!
An HWH internship offers a wealth of on-the-job experience that will complement your classroom learning and bolster your resume. HWH interns gain first-hand insight into the public relations field and the day-to-day functions of an agency. Our program enables students to develop confidence and marketable skills in a real life business setting.
What You’ll Be Doing!
Unlike internships at other companies, HWH interns get to experience the full breadth of PR agency work. You will usually have the opportunity to work on several different accounts in concert with the account teams. Responsibilities often include:
- Researching and compiling media lists
- Phone pitching
- Arranging media appointments
- Writing press releases
- Assembling Client Reports
- Assisting with Media Days and Trade Shows
What We Are Looking For
HWH PR/New Media is looking for outgoing, articulate students who are conscientious, hard-working, have good writing skills and, most importantly, have a hunger to learn and get ahead! A major in communications, public relations, journalism, English or marketing is desired.
Must be a current student at the college
junior or senior level of study.
What You Need To Know
HWH offers internships all year round, starting each season: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
This is an unpaid internship; however, interns are reimbursed for reasonable commuting transportation expenses.
HWH Public Relations will work with students to ensure they receive college credits for their work if applicable at their college. Interns must be available for a minimum of 2 full days per week. (9:30-5)
