| Myoung Woo Lee is the CEO of Reigncom Ltd. As CEO, his mission is to develop and enhance the brand value of iriver as a responsible global leader in the Consumer Electronics and IT markets.
Mr. Lee is a seasoned veteran of the Electronics industry, who has spent almost 30 years in leadership roles at a number of multinational global powerhouses. Before joining Reigncom, he served as Non Executive Chairman at Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Korea in 2006, and as Chairman, President & CEO of Sony Korea from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Lee enjoyed a highly-successful career at Samsung Electronics where he spent 24 years. Beginning in 1977, he worked his way through key positions at Samsung, playing a vital role in its exponential growth. His positions at the company include President of Samsung Electronics America in New Jersey (1997-2001); Head of Global Marketing in Corporate Headquarters in Seoul (1995-1997); Geschaeftfuerer of Samsung Information Systems (Europe) based in Frankfurt (1990-1993); Executive Director of Samsung Electronics (UK) in London (1988-1990); and Head of Samsung Jeddah Office (1982-1985). During his tenure at Sony Korea, he successfully transformed the company to $1 Billion in revenue through his "iBest" change management campaign and "Time to Korean market" initiative. Mr. Lee also spearheaded Samsung Electronics' Digital launch in the States. The strategic channel plan and its implementation, which he and his team began in 1998, became the crucial element of Samsung's growing success in the U.S. His effort was recognized by the industry, and he was given the S. David Feir International Humanitarian Award by the Anti-Defamation League in November 1999, and honored as the "Consumer Electronics Person of the Year 1999". He was on the Board of Directors of the Consumer Electronics Association (1998-2001) and had the honor to be nominated to the Board of Governors of the Electronics Industry Association in the U.S. in 2001. Mr. Lee holds a BA from Seoul National University and an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has been married to Inhyo for 27years with two grown-up daughters, Yoorim & Yoon-Young. | |||||
